Our Story

Local business owners Greg Kelsay, Ron Kelsay, and Bill Poland will be partnering with Columbus-based 450 North Brewery and Simmons Winery owners David and Brenda (Kelsay) Simmons to open the Riverfront Taproom in the newly created Riverfront District in downtown Shelbyville. The 200 plus seat restaurant and brewpub will open in the former Kiefer’s Furniture Store located at 530 North Harrison Street.
Riverfront Taproom will feature 32 taps of local craft beer and hard cider, with half of those from 450 North Brewery and Gnarly Grove Hard Cider.
The remaining taps will showcase other Indiana craft breweries. 450 North will be adding an onsite brewery for specialty and seasonal beers. The restaurant will also include a Simmons Winery Tasting Room where customers can taste and purchase wine by the glass and bottles to-go.
